Good Program for young people. My daughter told me about the ABC' segment and is intrested in being on the show. She will be a senior in the fall. Taylor does a good job. My daughter thinks she can do just as good or better.  Love Congresswoman Kilpatrick on the program. The details of health care was EXCELLENT show. Good questions. Yes Dalton or Nina should have asked about her strength dealing with Kwame and his woooos. I understand she wanted to be focus on HER.

You gotta Love Congresswoman Kilpatrick.  She is TRULY for the people. Great interview and good explanations! This show really pulled out the meaning of Approaitions Committees the Black Cacus etc.  The show should be on longer. I agree. Nina I think you should rotate week to week have Dalton with you then have Reggie.

Ok here's my question, how did Reggie Reg get on this program. So is he like working for WGPR now?  THESE THREE HAVE TOTALLY
DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES. Maybe he's here for the ratings or for the kids. But I have a feeling Nina is all about helping the young people and increase awareness on a much serious level. You know how President Obama took everyone by surprise, she may just be starting to breath good.. I think she's the one to watch not Reggie. Reg might be gone next month! Dalton might become a real politican.  Hmm intresting threesome group right here.  But  I love the kids doing their thing--Honor Students, almost forgot there was such a thing as a Honor Student! Say no to drugs!  If Reggie is your boss, then you Honor Students listen to the best voice of reason of the three.

Senator Hansen Clark may have a chance of winning if Kilpatrick decides not to run but otherwise he will not win. The more people to run against her to better her chances are to win. Someone like Dalton Roberson Jr should go after Kilpatrick district and another trailblazer should go after Conyers. NOW that's a strategy to put WISE YOUTH into position.  They should tag team and one of the newbys are sure to win!

Capturing the listening audience. Yes. Good Show.  Yes. Dalton you are a natural. Nina knows how to bring out what’s inside of people, good or bad. I love the way, when she ask a thought provoking catch you off guard question, politicians pause to think about how they should respond to her because their press sectary or staff did not prepare them for that one, it’s her own unique style.
Dalton can rattle you, Nina can freeze you. Dalton can stir you and she can shake you up. Keep growing together and learn from your errors and mistakes, they will happen! Please acknowledge them and by all means allow them to make you stronger by demonstrating clearly in your behavior, speech and growth.  Now, where is the pod cast for the Rob Parker interview? Can you post that one and the show from Saturday?

This show is about politics and life issues right? Can  you spend some time with Robert Bobb or someone from DPS-- How are they measuring student sucess. I heard the kids now need to be better prepared to make it through just one year of college and that's if they make it out of highschool with a GPA 3.50 or better. It's senseless- yes senseless how Detroit Public Schools are being ran! How about a guest interview topic with health care. 

I've been listening to Politics & Life Talk show since day 1 in 2008 with Nina & Kwame... Though Dalton really adds the political power punch to the show it would be nice to have kwame hit the numbers behind the facts and opinions of Dalton & Nina. 

We enjoyed Kwame's accuracy of numbers & stats on any topic presented. He shared the republican view, I beleive he did however, he & Nina had a flirty but complimentary approach. (That's my opinion).  Her & Dalton are serious business, which is good too.  There was a student on here as your campaign insider, it might be appealing to give him (the campaign insider) a specific assignments to report on once a month and feature a 15 minute segment diagloue with the Political Obamanite Host, Political Analyst Co-host  and Kwame the Statistic Specialist. Looks can be deciveing, Nina is not a whimpy chick broadcaster. I'm sure she could voice her observations and views very well on her own as a minority with majority men.

There is an audience for practically every radio program and There are other poliltical talk shows even on this station but Politics & Life , your flavor and personality styles are diverse and attractive enough for all audiences!  I like to see you with another rebroadcast and or on a bigger station.-- Thousands of people really need to hear these guest interviews. WLQV/WDTK just don't have the numbers and stats for what your message presents including the weekday John show where Dalton appears on too.  He is doing a great job on both, best served on this show but both talk shows need a bigger market.  But keep up the good work! You must start somewhere but then you must graduate and move on too. Greg Nickerson

We are looking to hear the new 1000 DCD segment. That should prove heated and perhaps revealing for the city. Really liked Nina Callahan-James questions to Rob Parker on the importance of sports giving people in a state like ours Michigan, an escape from the problems of everyday life and her perspective of the Michigan economy playing a role in the personnel decisions of  our Detroit major sports teams.  We know prayer is always what man should do every single day.  Good job young lady tying sports into politics & life. You should also consider questioning big name or just local pastors for your life segments of Politics & Life talk show.  Will you rebroadcast it again? soon? JM

Arizona and Green Bay Packers on tonight, Dallas, Jets Last night great games! Sports Weekend.  Just thought maybe the James & Parker interview would re-air tonight.

We heard the Christmas show twice with the Honor Students & James Tate.  One would think a big name like Parker deserves a rebroadcast too. 

It was gutsy and cleaver to question Rob about the Ford Family and the Lions then the Marinelli daughter situation and the biggest sports story, Tiger Woods.  You have to love this type of talk.  This was a different type of interview for Rob. He was the one, being interviewed. It was entertaining good,  sounded more like sports lovers quarrel with a twist dialogue because the controlling party was a female (Calahan-James), whom really didn’t care for sports or does she? Hmm. Loved it.  Its going to be great!

Parker really explained in detail the deal of his philosophy and why he would fire particular coaches, management, and players. Sports is Life. Politics & Life Talk Show made it work. It was great. Please re-air it.  Faithful listener. 

I think this type of one-on one quick talk segment with Nina Callahan-James (analyzing) getting real or keeping it real with Rob would be another spectacular touch to a new sport show.  It will be interesting to hear how the new segment will include honor students, perhaps those playing sports?

The Sabrina show should be on Radio One blowing MG out of the water. Sabrina should be on for two hours or have a rebroadcast on this station or a better station.

Good Day, Im not a sports nut either but I like what you are doing.  I think Rob Parker is a wonderful inspiration to young black and minorities trying to get into media on radio, print, or TV forms.  I jut love his voice and New York Brooklyn accent. 

Are you friends with him? How inspiring for famous people to connect with ordinary people like you trying to do something positive for a struggling society.  Most of us are unemployed and a big part of our weekend days are spending either listening to the radio or watching TV. 

I heard the young man with “The Voice” on the Sabrina show, it’s good the original students that started with you are still involved. Can or will they somehow be part of your new youth program in the spring? You should continue to work with them in some capacity for like a semester or a one-year commitment. It would prove good for all of you.

I met Sabrina; in passing-she has a fascinating ministry. I wanted to call in to talk to the woman who thought her program was similar to astrology.  Her show should rebroadcast on Sundays. Enjoyed the programming. Politics & Life should rebroadcast on WDTK and stay right after Sabrina too. I’m glad we have freedom of speech. I voted for Dr. Kim Knowlin she lives down the street for me. I met her (Nina) in the airport with Paul, and the others too.  Look for a call from us on Monday to advertise with Politics & Life talk show.  I want first- good bibs in with a sports show.  Lets add to your client list for Politics & Life Talk Show, I’ll personally support a special segment (1000 DCD) to enlighten Detroit from city council leaders— your youth segment and other programs. Personally I did happen to catch the Sabrina show and most of Politics & Life on the radio tonight. The 6:00 & 7:00 program  Both sound to be Great Programming with captivating topics and guest. I imagine churches support the 6pm show. 

My company will make a monthly contribution for a few months or a quarterly payment to help out on your talk shows. To my understanding you will be in and out of Detroit this month, can we meet before we leave to discuss details and your new show ideas.  Perhaps you can come to us next week? Sometimes we bring problems on ourselves however, those of us in leadership roles need to sometimes think as a Pastor. Some people have sins, issues and problems which are much more visible than others. But we don’t get rid of them. It’s an excellent opportunity to demonstrate tremendous growth and learning experience. People would be surprise to learn what can come from the storms, even the storms we create ourselves.  We must agree with Rob Parker. He did not deserve to lose his job with the Detroit News. Rob, we agree with you 110% the paper over reacted to emails and outside influences. There is always different perspectives to any situation.  The comments Rob made about Tiger Woods bull’s-eye again!  The business of national sports team is a real business. Detroit has a former basketball player as their mayor!  Yes. Now Joe Dumas from the Detroit Pistons is being groomed for Michigan Governorship candidacy. I love it. Post it to the podcast soon.

Recently I was catching a flight out of Chicago, which was delayed and met Nina in the airport.  I was impressed to learn there were another Christian station WLQV other than the ones we know so well in Detroit.  But I learned Nina was a program partner on this Christian station WLQV.  I came to the conclusion she was a church going lady but from the enthusiasm, seriousness in her voice and just her persona, I instantly thought hmm this is about to be a major big radio station for Detroit or at least the weekend lineup will be competitors with the others. What a sales person. Let me give her props on that.

The Bad news is—ok- Not to sound negative to the program team of Politics & Life nor to Nina, but I’m sure she must have a tremendous amount of trouble upon her or coming her way.. that’s just how it works when you have a mighty mission before you. Even based on the conversation in the airport, my question is how are you keeping it all together. Prayer she said. Back to bad news, Lets face facts working with a personality like Rob’s he’s with ESPN, WDIV this might be quite challenging on WLQV/WDTK HOWEVER We will listen to Rob any day on any radio station. AND Listen to the one who reached out to him.

If Nina reads this, read this- I encourage Nina today, to never quit never give up but take time to pray and fast for God’s continued instruction and coverage.  AGAIN We would love to listen to Rob any day on any radio station.

The way the Michigan economy is, Prayerfully we will pray that you will not be out of job by making such a provocative suggestion for Rob to join you. We will pray you are not removed for any reason but remain to develop this new syndicated program. WE are predicting it will be syndicated. Think how that would increase business.  Hopefully the two of them Rob & Nina, if not on this station, someone will allow you to lift the spirits of Detroiters with your God given gifts on the radio. We will listen next week to the other five shows you mentioned even the ones not part of your production. Nina promoted others. That’s a team spirit in the cold winter of Detroit. I recall someone saying to me, that new show host can launch off of this show Politics & Life. That’s good! WE LOVE POLITICS & LIFE TALK Show.  It’s good to hear more talk and less advertisers.

Thank you for brining Sabrina to WLQV. Nina, we hope you have the support needed. However the Lord led you to do it, let us say now, for you to be lead in brining a powerhouse like Sabrina and now the potential of Rob Parker..... lady you have a unique sure calling on your unique radio ministry!! I must finish listening to Rob Parker.. please re-air this show and ask Sabrina to re-air hers too.

Good show today. I’m not a big fan of James Tate. But I did enjoy the interview and look forward to hearing more from Detroit City Council on Politics & Life with Dalton & Nina.  I’m not a big fan of Charles Pugh for council president but again, I not only enjoyed his interview on your show but we grew more compassion for him and the task at hand! Will Sabrina Jackson come back on for the total color scheme of the council this month? Happy New Year!

We have never met Dalton or Ninna. but our teacher said she worked with Ninna during the Obama campaign. We would like to learn how we can join the Honor Student Showcase Hot Topic segment or be the new 2010 host and co-host of the youth show Winter Semester or just be a part of the show.
We called WJLB and WGPR and asked if we could create something similiar but they told us it would cost money, and we couldn't afford the cost even with our combined jobs.  They said, Or a host would have to be willing.  Even if our teacher didn't say, she knew Ninna we will write you the right way later in the week for this semester!!  Do it ourselves. WE are not all honor students but we all speak well and have similar dreams as Zaxk, Osama and Shiyna. Some of us have voices just as good or better than Andre and the wonderful Zake. Yes we are confident. Will you give us a chance ( just 2 of us to start out with?)

Dalton is an excellent interviewer.  I am starting to like his style. Dalton & Nina have good chemistry. The youth holiday segment had good chemisty  But I too must commend Nina Calahan James on this independent production of Politics & Life Talk Show.  I didn’t know the host was also the Executive Producer.  I know as a former  station programmer and other positions I've held, it takes a lot of work and $$$ to do what you do.  They may not realize it now but  hopefully the young people appreciate this opportunity being provided to them.  May Nina be blessed with continued growth and prosperity of this radio program.

Happy New Year to Politics & Life Talk Show. AM 1500 is not a station you would expect to hear a show like Politics & Life with host like Nina & Dalton. 
Councilman Tate & Jenkins are the only council member stresses an interest to work with young people. I hope they form a partnership with several youth programs in the city including an innovative program like this radio show. Ms. James I pray your motivation level increases for all that you do. You must build on what you have and merge forth.  Your willingness for an on air broadcast work with youth in media is commendable. You have not just 1 but  5 or 6 young people and given them a free opporunity. 
Not many talk show hosts will stretch themselves to that limit. I pray your strength and wisdom in what you will embark upon in 2010. The youth segment today was entertaining and engaging. I thank you for giving them a chance to inspire others through you.

Councilman Tate is exactly what Detroit needs especially to inspire our youth. Tate and Spivey really have young people at heart. I hope to hear Spivey on here for a one on one interview too.  The old crew of city council cant’ do it anymore they n needed new and younger blood from the new members coming on aboard. Hello, loved the Charles Pugh interview.  It was smart and it was good to me,  for Nina to present that edgy  enegetic introduction of Dalton. Set him up for the dragon interviewer he maybe come.  I'm curious to see the female dragon.. I mean this in a complimentary way sincerely.  I really enjoyed the conversation presented with Charles Pugh. There were some tough questions which truly shed light into some of the city woos and problems.  The analysis and lengthy tickering of Dalton was scary but real. The dialogue between Nina & Dalton was smart talk differences and good!

Great show!

This was the best show yet. Dalton did a grand job on council president. The astrosphere and tone of the show was great.  I hope the station decides to re-broadcast this interview with Charles Pugh over the holidays.

Just listen to the podcast with a few buddies--and yes I heard the show earlier but had to check your site for the podcast. The station should rebroadcast this interview.

Both Dalton & Nina can be firecrackers. Dalton is too wordy very long winded and Nina should have came back around and reiterating a few questions. Council President didn’t quite answer the question about which departments he would cut.  Both of you cut Charles off a bit too much to me. THat's my opinion. I wanted to log on and submit my comments because this is the best talk show on the radio on Saturdays! Regardless of my few negative comments, I love this show.

Good job to Ms. Nina for surfacing back around to one queston in particular, the potential “Robert Bob issue for city council” Charles let the cat out the bag on that one.  So city council needs a Robert Bobb? Is that what council president is implying? You really know Pugh's cheif of staff is it his girl-boyfriend? Excellent job today.

 Trying to listen to the podcast but When will this rebroadcast or re-air? Great show! The youth segment is a good segment to keep regularly. The campaign insider was a good highlighting touch during the election.  He’s not needed all the time. We want to hear the talk and hard discussion, like on today show.  Can Dr. Jackson come back on for a recap or analysis of the new council members then bring on the old incumbents.   The show sounds good. Here is a suggestion can Dalton & Nina combine the “Political Review” with the two of them. I like the improvements.

We listen to Dr. Jackson today.  She is truly an amazing person. Her show needs to be on for two hours. I’m commenting today because I really love her spirit and her love to help us, people. I love her show. Sabrina has acknowledged Nina for brining her or giving her this opportunity to be on air. Though I don’t know either of you, I will ask my church prayer team to pray for Sabrina to ask and gain more from the Lord because she has a mighty mission to accomplish especially after the loss of her father and brother must make her even more stronger and the dynamic force in Detroit with our city officials that the Lord intends her to become AND somehow in this process the host Nina plays an integral role in that too.  We listened to the show following hers, Politics & Life Talk Show.  It’s funny because I love Politics & Life Talk Show, Nina referred to Dalton as a firecracker but she is fearless and intelligently daring. Clearly she too has an anointed that’s mind blowing and probably problematic for others! Keep the faith Sabrina. Keep courage Nina. Good program. I am a faithful listener and had to write in tonight. I am one citizen glad to hear a good lengthy show talking with our new city leaders! That’s right. Not dogging them, not looking to start trouble for your own ratings but examine the issues and their way of thinking! You go girrl! Dalton is hitting them with the $250 million dollar bond issue like it’s his money for real. Nina wants straight answers define the solutions but have you first realized & defined what the problem is, then tell us. I say it again You go girl with your hoarse voice! I can see you and Dalton in another year, names in the paper as respected journalist and news broadcasters! Like this show.  But you should be on longer or rebroadcast another day too.  Thank you.

Dear Politics & Life Talk Show, Could you ask the city council would they take a pay cut. How often will they be on? Will the incumbents come on? We wonder if they are as enthused about these new five as the new five think they are!

Everyone is interviewing the new starting line up but how about the incumbents are they going to raise hell at the first meetings in January.  

This show should rebroadcast on Mondays too. Great one-hour program! It’s very refreshing to hear our new city council partnering up to come on talk shows, you know so it’s not like a one person trying to make a presence for their own political agenda.

Good job. We like hearing the host talk, Nina. We would like to still hear her more.

How about interviewing Dalton. What are his real views, feeling and thoughts on losing the race? It’s clear to me who could do a better job than some of the incumbents who were re-elected. That’s just like the Detroit School Board, who voted for Rev Murray and why. We think people just went on name recognition for all 9 slots.  We hope to hear more conversation with Dalton and Nina because you are worth listening to! Looks are deceiving.  Both Dalton & Nina appear to be quiet but he’s really a hot head and his questions are heavily opposing the guest’s view point and loaded but you forget his question sometimes because he is long winded and should rephrase it at the end of his speech

And then Nina, she’s very personable but then turns intriguing, opinionated and precise.  They are really like two fighting word warriors.  Good show. What are your first and second colors the host and co-host? Orange and Gold? 

 How many questions can you ask! Tons and loads of questions just like an inquisitive child. Ms. Nina, I really like your show and I hope you & Dalton get better as a team! Detroit needs what you and he are offering! This show,  Its not BS. It’s not jokes and fluff.   It’s not attacking putting people on the defense, just to make a name for yourselves.  It’s not dogging people either.-- I wrote a comment before but it never posted maybe I did't press the right key, hope this one post. I do like your show and listen faithfully even if I don't agree with all the guest, I do like your talk show. I would like Dalton to be even more aggressive. but don't dog my lady--Nina is kool. Vice Chair made a statement about the expectations of Detroit. She is right. We expect fights. Politics & Life Talk Show is helping to raise Detroiters expectations and what we desire from a talk show filled with young professionals like Nina & Dalton.  We pretty much take what you give us. I listen to the live show, the rebroadcast and the pod cast on Sundays. It’s easy to listen to radio when you don’t have a job and you don’t have cable cause you can’t pay the bills.  Thank you for not creating a negative program to infest the ears and minds of our fragile city! Thank you for creating something good and good enough and smart enough to wear even a dumb official like Rev Murray will ask to come on your show! Why did I vote for him, oh because he is a minister! Lord help us and our children.

Hendrix and Janice should have run for mayor.  They should pursue greater endeavors after this fix the charter thing!  As much as we almost felt we didn’t have a real choice in the past election. One thing for sure it will be an unique election for governor race in 2010. All spotlights will be following Detroit City Council and Charter around. I commend you young people, though you have a youth segment, Nina & Dalton you two are pretty young in this industry and I wish you both much success and good relationships with the good officials and an investigative eye for the crocked officials. We have new officials and some new reporters on the news shows and now a new talk show to tune into every Saturday.  I catch the rebroadcast!

Keep an eye on Detroit officials through the radio like the President first 100 days.  It’s good the TV reporters do but radio host programs don’t quite seen to be that enthused to do that. But then this show is called Politics and Life.  One thing is for sure after listening to the show several times, Dalton & Nina have a good rhythm, excellent questions and good chemistry. 

The two of you are very young people and you are well informed and versed.  Good job in staying on top of the newly elected officials. 

Hope to hear the Mayor soon.  Dalton comes out hittem with the tough questions like that.  But then Nina has like a left hook,  hey wait a minute questions. Dalton, man you are one to watch in 2010.  Great questions. Hope to hear some of the young politicians on here too.

I listened to the live show and the rebroadcast. My views are not as friendly as some on this site. I don’t want to be hard on the youth but why is it they all the youth sound like they are reading.

The girl Domminque is the only teenager that sounds natural! Today was better with the Zakky guy.  You can hear his confidence and improvement in just weeks just like you can hear the host & co-host really do get alone. It sounds like Zakky may have the upbeat personality type and Osama might be the serious stick to the point guy.   But it doesn’t change the fact that-Osama and Andre lost their place today and need to practice more. Andre and Osama have excellent fantastic radio voices to capture our attention so they really need to pay more attention to their own sound and be consciencist conscienceoutst of the fact they need to practice more because they have an ability to capture the listener.  I think they should show improvement every week.
It's up to you, Nina & Dalton to train these young people don’t just let them get on air to be on air—having fun. Make them work and learn their craft even if it hurts.. This is a good talk show with two good host. Nina is very personable and a talker for sure. Keep that going.  Thanks 

Good Diversity.  Good Production today! Loved your show with a Western Wayne County Congressmen.  Congressmen McCotter is a heavy hitter big baller.  I have a question for Dalton. Are you a republican? From the photo above Nina is a democrat, though I often thought not, based on her comments through out various shows. Mainly the neutral take is observed by her. Its interesting how she is a democrat but live in a republican community and supported a democrate president. What's that all about?  Very intresting young woman. We truly enjoyed the diagloue today.  This was good to hear the host take control with a controlled orange energetic lively comments and questions.  Nina should stay heavily involved questioning the guest. But perhaps the guest must be as intriquing as a Congressmen or perhaps challenge her beyond a fool like Rev. Murray from last week.  He was a joke. and I'm surprise Ms. James did not cut him down with her boldness but then she wasn't too engaged in that particular show.  To the writers of this show, Politics & Life Talk Show is at it's  best when the host is in control... listen to Paul Edwards, or even the new Dr. Jackson.  Dalton makes an excellent political co-host but he is not as charming as she is, together they are dynamic when both are engaged in the topic like today! I would like to hear the two of them debate opposing sides or hear her debate with the campaign insider and Dalton. Bottom line, I like the show and each of you.

New Listener.  Just happen to catch the show at 7:20pm and needed to write in your notebook once I got here at work. Did you have someone name Osmah today? Hmmmm.  A talk show to watch every week!  Yeah, Nina dived into a hearty topic, health care with the congressmen. He spoke very candidly and Very Profound statements today as referenced to John Dingel stating you should start in the middle and working toward both ends of the political spectrum. Congressmen McCotter is the Man! GM will rebound and show America what’s it all about! I agree with Congressmen three fundamentals, we are threats to terrorist because of our mere existence. But I disagree with the comments on the stimulus package. We all need some help and it’s about time the government developed a national plan for us all to participate if we only knew how.  Good Show! will contuine to listen.

When will the rebroadcast be on the podcast? I need to hear this congressmen again. Best show this fall. Thank you Dalton Roberson Jr. for joining the team. I missed the campaign insider but he too is a good part of the team—I think he should come on right before the youth males for a segment too.  It was good today. I like the beginning with Kim & Nina.  But my my my, Osamah, what problems and incidents have plaque this young man based on just his name.  Was it Osham, Osmah?  Today you have selected him to be on the radio. Was it Osamah?  He would be a good guest for Dr. Jackson and this show too. Please talk to him-has he wanted to change his name, how does he feel about it. What’s his personality really like?

Orange you say is the color of the host.  How terrible that must be for her, especially working with mainly males.   I wonder.  Traces of that Gold was apparent right?.  Dr. Jackson could you colorize most of the talk show host on the station or most of the female talk host in Detroit?  You should have them all on your show one night!!  They must all have something in common but yet different? I would think orange is the worst color to be leading with, especially if you are a black human being and especially if blue is your second color, like mine I think.  The criticism along would stump your growth.  How can orange people be successful in a 9-5 as a banker like me? What type of careers do certain colors do well and excel in? I like the question Nina made about employers not wanting to hire a particular color because it won’t produce what the employer needs. I’m curious what Nina’s second color is and what was Dalton’s? This is a good show. Much love to you Dr. Jackson.

It was good to hear more from the host. What a hidden personality that needs to come out.  Let me share with you;
I stop listening to Frankie D. and started listening to Gaddis because she has a voice in the community though I dont' always care for her tough negative and sometimes one sided view point. She draws you in to have an opinion.
What I'm starting to like about Nina, is something similar but striklingly different in her boldness, candid directness but yet delighful in a charming way... can't quite but my finger on it all but I hope the scope on things is, for her, the host to be more vocal. Nina has a hidden voice, Dalton maybe the perfect co-host pulling it out! Great combination team opposites right? Dr.  Jackson, how does colors play with political preferences like this? Ok thank you

I hGood Show. Good Job to Dalton Roberson Jr.  I wonder why he  wasn't one of the primary winners! Dalton has a lot to offer. Hopefully the Detroit City Council and Charter members will come on the show monthly and have discussions with Nina & Dalton. It was very brave of Nina to state the reality of how people even herself, don't want to be associated with the negativity of Detroit.  I hope to hear Dalton and  her true voice on current issues. They have strong young voices very opinionated and well stated. Good Job to both of you!

Even with shorter breaks, the show was not long enough!  Hurray because some listeners need to hear more like me! Need to get the Congressmen on again or another one or a Senator soon.  
What I enjoyed today, was the detail summary ( not a bio) Nina gave of the Congressmen AND having the ONE Guest and powerfully good questions and conversation among the host and wrap up time to discuss it all with the three of you! Good Talk Radio

Sabrina, I like  hearing you & Nina engage in this conversation.  Let me say, I listen to the Kim Bettie show which Nina produce and that show would be better with just her and the stylist.  It is a good funny entertaining show. Is that the purpose? I like it.
Anyway, Today Politics & Life show with Congress McCotter was good because we heard more conversation and direction from the host with Dalton, Nina & Dr.  Jackson together.  It was rocky in the beginning but that's ok.  For me it shows that the Congressmen was a tough guest!  The honor student showcase is very good like tv news programs showcase them too.  Good for you for featuring showcase male students! BUT I like it when there is a girl present too.  Enjoyed the show with more talk and short breaks.  Now you need more time it wasn't long enough! Keep doing what you doing. Kim reality show is good, Sabrina call in advice show is great and this informative talk to the leaders of our community and world of America is better than the local daily shows on other stations. I look forward to listening to Sabrina later and this rebroadcast again.

To Congressmen McCotter, you are the MAN.  I didnt know it until today but I like you sir, Congressmen McCotter.  For some reason, I always felt like my only choice was Kilpatrick & Conyers but I guess this proves some of us are really limited in our thinking based on what we are exposed to.  Sir you make a lot of sense to me.  Just finished listening to another one of your podcasted shows. I like the music.  I love all the music on your show especially for it to be a conservative network, getting down like this! The commercials—I had to take my mother to Rolonis and Big Mama’s and then my crew went to Papa John's.  Anyway, it was good to have the honor student speak more. It’s good that she can speak intelligently.  Good job at picking the top of the class. Now you need to develop the campaign insider skills more.  All of the children need you. It doesn’t matter how good they sound they all still need guidance to perfect their craft and talents. This is a great opportunity. The other leading talk shows do not have special segments for the youth like this at least not on a regular basis. Everyone is not going to like everything you do but we commend you Ms. Calahan-James. 

My co-workers and I were discussing last week show and decided to check out the website and write in. Thank you for posting the shows on a podcast.  Dr. Rev Murray needs to come back on just to expose his ignorance more and generate a talk discussion in the community about him.. Some people may really like him but most shouldn’t. The fact that he is re-elected must mean the right folks are not voting.  On to a better topic:

Ms. Calahan-James, we are working over here at Providence and just finished listening to the show on-line.  Do you know, you had a Fool of a fool on your show Saturday?    Though Murray made points of interest, about his past accomplishments, I think his time is up! Love the new honor student! She definitely sounds better than the Clark girl. We like it! Looking to hear more intelligent talk from your young people. Lately, the campaign insider seems to miss his cues or maybe its technical issues.  Also maybe you shouldn’t engage him and the other student into “interview” dialogue. It brings down his stance with the “you knows” Let’s have more of the adult conversation with the adults. I would love to know what color your guest was.   Great Show. Please send our condolences to Dr. Jackson. We love her love her.

As crazy as this sounds, we enjoyed that fruit cake Murray. He might as well be the brother related to city council just join in on the rest of the idiotic idiots round table of the Detroit City Council. It just proves what the competency level is on our nationally known school board. Foolishness and Stupidity. Why and how did he get re-elected. 

It’s not just because most Detroiters are non-educated people.  It’s because the media did not focus on the school board like they should have. Rev Murray should have been exposed. Fruitcake is putting it mildly.  You can do much more with your voice on this platform.  We would like to hear more from you, it’s your show.   Give all the kids a break for a few weeks, even the campaign insider. We don’t need to hear from him twice in the show, once is enough!  It’s great what you are doing but let’s here more from you & Dalton.  Sabrina should replace Kim. A bring another great commentator.
 
I just wanted to add, Kim brought something nice to the table, I have heard her show but her commentary for me, is and was much better than what she’s doing now. That’s just my opinion and a few others.  Hey, obviously we are listening and we enjoy your show.  Love the name change too. It should actually be longer don’t you think? We recall when you were on for 30 minutes, now an hour now you need 2 hours to fully give the youth their opportunity and create a fuller production to educate, enlighten and inform the city. Hey Nina, it sounds good to have a co-host. Dalton makes a good one. He has a good political background to make intelligent attack questions well received by the guest. Even if he hits hard, we appreciate the effort. I would like to hear more from you, your voice. I say this because, I know you to be a very opinionated young woman but perhaps you must keep the center neutral perspective if that’s the case, it would make even a greater show interest to have another co-host sharing or contrasting Dalton. You are definitely doing a good job pick up your game, more people are listening than you know.

If anyone said they cant’ work with Pugh or anyone else, then they themselves are not mature enough to come to the table in Detroit council room!

These ads are hot!! Are they really letting you play music on a talk conservative station? What’s up with that. I guess it’s all good because it sounds fresh as hell. Love the sound. I listen just for the upbeat music and I guess the information. It’s not boring! I just wrote in to say, keep Sabrina! Keep your style! Keep the youth segment! Keep your style! The ads are hot! I wish I had a business.  Enjoying the show but why was someone talking while the campaign insider was reading. Who was that? how rude!

No one wants to work with a party girl especially if they are serious about getting the job done. I'm writting in again. Fred Hall should go sit down. He won’t even be in the top 12.  I enjoy Dalton’s woven question in a question just like Darren Nichols.  Great Show, good information. If possible keep brining the politicians on! You have a good personality for this. It appears as if there is really good chemistry with you & the campaign insider. Like Anderson Copper and Campel Brown. Keep it up!

Dalton Roberson Jr. is on point with all his target questions. He could have his own show. This is like the spin off show. I’m proud to listen to this show, I enjoy the weekly perspective poems at the end and even the campaign insider. But why dosn't he ever start right away, you know after his name is called??  I don’t think you should question him, he seems not to be ready to readily respond. Some folks are better at reporting and reading a script than thinking it completely through, no offense—we know he’s part of the youth team—They are excellent but still a work in progress at what 19? A long way to go.  I hate to say it Sauntell may beat Cockrel out.

It's been  a year since I wrote on your website, I like Kwame & the fire filled Joe but he and Kwame left or got fired. Glad you still here for people like me. Thank you for having a in the center approach and having pastors on here too. Anyway I like the way the show has progressed just like Carmen Harmlen is my favorite tv newscaster, I like you Ms. Calahan-James. Anyway, Kenneth Cockrel sounds much better, very sure of himself. He has my vote. Fred Hall said he’s a business owner that doesn’t do business in Detroit.. ok that statement just cost him the election.. Watch and see! Shelly Foy should make it in. Who was having the deep breathing issues today, were they smoking?

I recall hearing James Tate back in August and now he sounds even surer of what his role and duty must be.  I believe he and Andre should lead the council not the pretty gay dude but the dark brothers of substance. 

I think I’m in love with Dr. Sabrina Jackson. What a powerful message. She is simply loved by all. Nina Calahan-James you are a sparkling young woman brining all of this to my favorite talk station. I stop listen to Mildred and Frankie a while ago; I just wish this show were on longer. I have become a fan of the show and can’t wait til 6pm to tune back in! Keep doing what you doing.

Mike Rosenfield from channel 7 the surbars subans vs. the city, it’s really the city has an attitude with the surbans. Hopefully if these two get elected they will change the culture and the impression Detroit has on Detroit. WE don’t think to highly of where we live, let’s be real. But having new leaders like a new president really can make you feel good about who you are and where you are. I want to get my daughter on here too. She just became an honor student and we hope she stays one Is there an age requirment?

The Detroit News has surprised me! How encouraging to here them come to help out a program like this. We enjoyed the tough question from the city hall insider, Daren Nicolos and who doesn’t love Channel 7 action news. Good work with the young people. I'm glad the last girl hasn't been back, she needs to study abit more before becoming a perm part of this serious show. Looking to see more good things from the show.

This is a pretty good program. Mr Tate said he’s concerned about the youth I hope he continues to promote the youth programs and appear on this show again after he wins.  Odds are he will make it just based on name. Yes he will win. But he will have to work dilligently much harder than Gary Brown to shake that nasty taste in our mouths about Detroit Police Dept. and seperate himself more even from Brown. 

Andre Spivey has really been out in the community. An unknown making his presence VISIBLE.  He and Tate should be the forrunners. Basically enjoying the show, the campaign insider should be more in depth but I guess he is just a headliner reporter.. consider adding depth. Thank You

Haven’t listened to the show during the show for a few months until I heard about the debates on twitter. Glad you got rid of Joe.  It’s obvious from his attack personality style, what color is he? But he’s probably a real good attorney but not a good radio personality.  What happen to Kwame? He was pretty good. Great voice and always had statistics.   Really tough shoes to fill but Andre Ash is filling them like a good pair of Jordan’s. 

But we like Andre and we always loved Nina.  I think we just love to hear her pretty voice but speaks with a demand.  Last but not least we are falling in love with Dr. Sabrina Jackson can’t wait to hear her show. That’s right jump on board and get that city council together before the cracks become apparent.  

Hi quick note here, I like your show. I like the Kim Bettie show too. I think Alton is funny. No need for a comedian. He is funny as he is.  The hair stylist should be doing so much much more with her life. She clearly has it going on.  But neither should be giving advice. It’s a coaching show right not a therapist or is she a therapist.  They should be Kim’ s reality guest, call it Kim’s Friends a Reality Radio

Here is my comment, I wanted to listen Kim, I like her and the new show and her co-host should have her own show already. But the dude on there give me a break he’s not even living in reality. So how the hell is he going to give advice? Kim needs to be coaching him. What a jerk, he’s struggling with the fact of being divorce after how long.
We understand if she just needed somebody of the sounding board but please he’s the joke! He needs to be part of the real housemen episode.  I prefer Kim on this show with Nina & Sabrina. The commentary is very explosive. Good Luck on her new show. One thing is for sure we will be listening to both. Put a call in for men to audition for the sounding board get another guy and keep Alton as the joke reality of denial.

Ok check this out. I listened to the Kim Bettie show and I’m writing about here cause her website was not up and open yet. I don’t want to hear any comedians making light of real issues deep within people.  This is a Christian station and I just don’t think that is a cool thing to do to someone here. Perhaps on another station yes but not here! One more thing, she needs a new male for her sounding board team. That’s all for now. Kim is hot. The production sounds good but the show itself; hmm I’m not feeling it.

I do think the city and community needs a program like this non-opinated non-partisan and involving the youth.. I think that’s what it is along with the upbeat music and different segments of various interests… Keep it up

I am a conservative from birth. I heard about this show from a pastor jerry and listened just a few times but wanted to hear these Detroit debates and drop a line to encourage you.  I believe nina you are pretty young and full of energy.  I love your voice, and find myself talking about colors and not the black and white ones.. Where ever that Dr. Jackson came from keep her on aboard.  I don’t live in Detroit but I am starting to enjoy the campaign insider. I assume he’s youthful too. Though I am a conservative from birth I tip my hat to you. Keep God first and hopefully Chris & Steve will soon feature you on the WLQV website. I love this particular type of diversity.

To Ms. Nina we here at the barbershop and the beauty salon on 7 mile we say, embrace your orange color. We glad you are who you are and doing your thang and good that this station is giving this to you.  It’s all kind of music & stuff on radio entertainment is everywhere we need to get real serious about our city like we did about our country in November.  AM1200 is good but this is how do I say Better all by itself. I think this show is really good for the community. I’ve listen to a few other of your Saturday shows. Why doesn’t the station advertise the line up? Why isn’t this show advertise by the station? Should the listeners write to marketing or the general management?

This group was boring to me..  especially Sarah and Teoloa is too old.  Ken Harris was the best candidate and most articulates. The buzzer kept going off Teola..  and Reggie Reg just sounds to rough but not really versed on the issues… It’s just my opinion and it counts for something.

If a Pastor or Bishop is going to represent the faith community then why not have one on for every debate?  I liked his voice and  his questions.

Hiring High Performers for Detroit Leaders, is an excellent concept. The Detroit News is always there on good projects. I love Dr. Jackson. She should have her own show too. The color analysis is right on.. Your concept here is so right on! I mean the break down in simple form delivered by the youth team and then the mature analysis in the Essential Color format makes it entaintertainning and enjoyable. We wanting to listen and learn what the hell this all about!

One note usually girls are better than boys with words and speech but this time, the student campaign guy wins today though we enjoyed all the youth please keep working with the girls on their dictation and pronoucation.  We would like to hear their development grow through out the year unlike the legal analyst who use to come on this show.  I missed the second half of the show and just listened to the entire podcast with April. One thing for sure, we listen!  Jai Lee Dearing will not make the final cut, though his campaign manager has a good reputation. He worked for Pastor Hood in the Mayoral race.  Can't wait to hear the debates and hear from Dr. Sabrina!  She is hot. The campaign insider & the honor student piece this week was HOT.  The host is hot. I love your voice.  The whole show is hot, almost too hot for WLQV but it should draw more people to tune in especially when the rebroadcast begins on the News Talk station.  I think it was some roughness going on the technical end from start to finish.  If I can give a word of suggestion, keep working with the young people to improve their voice and diction so they can hear their improvement each week. Curious what happen to Kwame is he behind the scenes? Still with the station on another program?

Hello, After reading the article in the Detroit News about your show, I just listened to the  podcast broadcast wanting to hear Alberta Tinsley. I personally like her and hope she is re-elected to have a seasoned person on the council with Brenda Jones who will win re-election. It took courage to do what Alberta did and it proves she is in tune very in tune to what's going on AND to whom is on AIR the RADIO (even a new comer). 
My question is;Will callers be able to call in and talk to the candidates?
I think it's good to have a radio stations willing to do this type of service for the candidates, allowing people an opporunity to hear from different perspectives and different type of radio host. Everyone is used to 1200AM and the host there but this is really good, hope you get some good press. I think we are need to spend a few minutes with Dr. Jackson hope she's back on soon!

I think the show host could have better directed Alberta and informed her she can not use her show to hi-jack for an unwanted 5 minuted campaign speech. Perhaps she was caught up from the funerals of GIANTS.
The host was polite but she did draw the line and have the Life Coach jump in while she got rid of Alberta in a professional manner. I say this because as listeners, all we know is, we didn't hear Alberta 's  voice anymore. Not even a good bye. I'm going to listen again, I like the show.
I also understand giving kids a chance but I hope to hear other graduating students with a sound quality of the campaign insider. That young man has set the bar. The young girl has set the bar with her information but not her sound quality!

Everyone inside of our hair salon was talking about this show.. The advice from Dr. Sabrina Jackson, was on point and she really articulated herself and we could understand and relate OMG.  We were talking about the story by the Honor Student and the poem at the end by Nina Calahan-James.  Motivational and Serious. We like the host a lot!  Yes, That kid-girl is smart and courageous!  Good Show.. One suggestion, let the campaign insider gives us a bit more on whats going on inside the campaigns. Hey-I would never listen to this station during the week it just don't appeal to the average Detroitor but I got a tweet and saw you on facebook and was compelled to listen to a sista, a black female on a conservative republican even radio station in Detroit! Talking about politics--non-partisan.. Man that's HOT.  It's Hot you got a job there!

I say vote James Tate and Dalton Roberson Jr. I doubt seriously if Matthew receives any black votes. The grandfather dude, Mr. Nettles needs to give it a rest, though it might be good to have old wisdom like that on the new council but only if it is  a good mixture of youth like James Tate & Dalton Roberson Jr. They have my vote. I might even vote for Joan Gist just because I like her commercial. Thank you

Colemen Young Jr. is trying to help his mother get elected on Detroit City Council. I commend him for his effort and devotion to his mother.  Annivory Calvert sounds more articluated and educated than the entire current Detroit City Council. I heard you call in on another show... don't remeber what it was about but rembered your show time and decided to listen. This was a good show. I enjoyed Mr. Lucas and hope Ford Motor Company comes back, I have a few questions for them but good they didn't take bail out!  I love that Heart of the Matter lady. New Listener!

Love you ladies voices. however,  I don't like the life coach title either, try somethng like stragetist, it has more creditablitly. Ask your other former executives. I like to bring my donation into the office.  The amount I like to give is not listed.  some of us have reached our limits with credit card rates but we are still good people with decent incomes. i like to hear some info on credit cards. Our shift is ending for the day too, let me say  more power to the women… I would like to hear if possible an insight to Michelle Obama or just more to help us women who are carry more of the load especially at home, working two jobs supporting our laid-off spouses. I guess I'm bias toward female host. Good job Kim & Nina. I do miss Joe's energy but love the gals!

Hello, I'm not a regular listening to this show nor this station! But a friend suggested I check out these young folks doing it with the news and political leaders. AND I must say saturday's washington's report was an excellent topic to have for discussion.  It is very current and there are many sources on the subject and sites to read about it. It was just good to hear a well put togehter summary!!

We heard rambling about it on Mildreth Gaddis show and called in today to suggest people  listen to your show and even better the podcast.  I'm speaking today becuase you really do present a bi-partisan, non partisan approach on the Church & State Talk show. It was just really good to hear the women discussion and the female caller.. I'm sold for now with Calahan-James and Bettie. Let's see what you bring to the AM station next week.  P.S. We ordered Big Mamas for lunch excellent food!  That's what really motivated me to write.. we just finished eating. Thank You.

Hello   I like the Performance Act because it should make radio stations switch their formats to more talk shows… I would like to hear this show on FM minority stations!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The president wants us all to be more engaged and a more informed community not just listening to music all day or one particular radio personalities point of view… I hope M. Gaddis has heard about you and does not criticism but try to help. Good job Calahan-James will check out the pod cast too.

I started listen to this show for the high profile guest you have and Nina’s Washington report. But it’ was too many voices for half hour interview. Definitely enjoyed Saturday’s story/topic on broadcasters new performance bill and Kim talking with the former Mayor’s son. Keep it up! Maybe you can go to an hour. Because you need it!!

We really like the political guest interviewed, It was very intriguing listening to Nina’s Washington ‘s report as the topic of the day. It is so VERY CURRENT with what’s happening here with radio!!! Let me add, we all like Kim, the former General Motors Consultant point of view. However I’m not feeling the Life Coach title thing.

Great Job Mayor! You make way more sense than Dave Bing.. Why is he even running? He should be visiting Gil Hill in the old folks home. Good interview with Detroit Mayor Kenneth Cockrel Jr. he tossed out good numbers. I hope Calahan-James will summarize or toss some of it into her report next week. This show is too short. We need to hear more news from Calahan-James and more questioning from you all, to the guest and can folks have an opportunity to call in. I guess not you only have a half hour.  That’s why I don’t listen much, too short… hard to plan for just half hour on Saturday busy part of the day.

Mayor Cockrel outstanding job. We are looking for you to bring home a victory. We heard you on the other radio interviews too. We appreciate the uniqueness of Nina Calahan-James, Washington Correspondent Washington reporting and Kim Battie with the commentary on road rage. We like her seriousness and variety of news from Washington and how she ties it in to Detroit.  It’s just not long enough. We wanted to hear more questioning from Ms. James, a different twist of questioning mixing Detroit local politics with Washington and religion. We thought the spirituality question for the mayor was very good. We enjoyed the interview of NAACP President. This was our 2nd time listening. We hope to hear more engaging conversations especially between and within the entire team Joe, kwame & Nina

At the request of someone, I tuned in to hear Mayor Cockrel. I don’t know what type of show this is. Is it a mixture of seriousness and comedy? If you listen to the Monique show, you know what you are getting just like the Steve Harvey show… Clowning with serious jokes.

Dear Nina, I try to go to Governor event Monday.. we thought you would be there. But we could not get there in time!  They say you are out on assignment. When you return to Michigan soon I hope, I want to learn more about what you wrote in the note. Hopeful. Thank you.
